Old Heidelberg was a Chapel Street institution for decades before it closed, and it was shut for roughly thirty years. It reopened in 2019 in the same spot, downstairs at 1151 Chapel Street, when the Graduate took over the building. The sign outside and the wooden bar with its gold Gothic lettering are the original ones.
It opens in the evenings rather than for meals: cocktails, local beer and pub food from six, and until one in the morning on Fridays and Saturdays. It is part of the hotel, and open to anyone. The number listed is the Graduate's front desk, which is the way to reach it.
