Fritz & Hawley has proudly served the New Haven County community for over 100 years. Established in 1900, Gustave Fritz and George Hawley created The Fritz & Hawley Company. After a 1920s fire, a major remodel made it the first air-conditioned retail store in the state by 1934. Following Gustave’s passing in 1935, George continued the legacy until Russell B. Fritz Sr. rejoined the business - paving the way for decades of growth.
