Heirloom Restaurant & Lounge cooks what it calls farm and coastal food: a New England pantry menu built on heritage crop varieties from growers and farms around Connecticut, and changed as the season does. It is the restaurant inside The Study at Yale, and it is open to anyone, not only to guests of the hotel.
Breakfast runs every morning from seven, lunch on weekdays and brunch at the weekend, and dinner every evening from five. The wine list is long and leans toward boutique, sustainable, organic and biodynamic labels from Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Australia, South Africa and the United States. Social hour is Monday to Friday, three until six.
