Gustave Fritz and George Hawley opened one of Connecticut's first optical shops in 1900. It is still here. Under ownership that took over in 2018, the shop does comprehensive digital eye exams, custom lenses, frame styling, adjustments and repairs, and carries a curated wall of frames from J.F. Rey, American Optical, Morel, LA Eyeworks, Eyevan and Etnia Barcelona among others.
